Prior to this, I worked as a Welfare Officer within the Northern Ireland Civil Service, providing both practical and emotional support to staff and managers. I have volunteered in local communities for over 20 years, with a particular focus on suicide prevention and training. Alongside this, I have worked extensively with individuals impacted by trauma, including those in custodial environments. I am a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, an approach that supports people to recognise unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen self-awareness, and create meaningful change. I am deeply passionate about supporting people through crisis and challenging circumstances, always respecting difference and embracing individuality, while promoting hope, kindness, and compassion. I look forward to developing a responsive and inclusive service for those impacted by MBMLW - one that offers a welcoming, safe space for anyone who needs our support.
