Supporting Survivors of Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries and Workhouses in Northern Ireland (1922-1990)

WAVE Trauma Centre (MBMLW) and Adopt NI will deliver a range of support and bespoke services across Northern Ireland (NI) and will also ensure that survivors living outside of NI have access to the support and services that they need.  Services have been designed with MBMLW groups and others to ensure that they are client-led, readily accessible and responsive to the needs of survivors.

... a range of services dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of survivors of Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries and Workhouses (MBMLW).

On the 30th September 2022, WAVE Trauma Centre together with the Victims and Survivors Service (VSS) and Adopt NI, launched a new service dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of survivors of Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries and Workhouses.

Our service is open to anyone who was resident in a MBMLW institution in Northern Ireland at any time between 1922-1990 inclusive.
