We offer
... a range of services dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of those impacted by Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries and Workhouses (MBMLW).
On the 30th September 2022, WAVE Trauma Centre together with the Victims and Survivors Service (VSS) and Adopt NI, launched a new service dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of survivors of Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries and Workhouses.
Our services have been designed with MBMLW campaign groups and others to ensure that they are client-led, readily accessible and responsive to the needs of those impacted.
We support anyone who has been impacted by a MBMLW institution in Northern Ireland at any time between 1922-1990 inclusive.
Since the beginning of the project, we have developed a comprehensive holistic service to meet individual needs, provide guidance and peer support.
We have a warm, caring, trauma informed team to support and guide you through our services.
Dr Sandra Peake MBE (PhD)
CEO of WAVE Trauma Centre.
